Spring is here, but March is clearly still playing that whole lion-and-lamb game with us. Easter weekend started out cold, but blue skies and blooming daffodils peeked through. And with temperatures hitting 70 degrees, I got myself outside to take a walk and to tan.

Besides family time and holiday celebrations, the best part of my weekend was hitting up Barrio for tacos. Twice. You know a place is good when you have tacos and margaritas for lunch on Friday, and then return for more the next day. A few chef’s suggestions provide creative combos, but half the fun comes in building your own, from choosing your shell (why pick soft or hard when you can have the Stoner: flour soft + corn hard + queso + chorizo — yes, that’s just the shell) to 11 types of protein to toppings, sauces and salsas galore. And then there are the margaritas!

I also hit up Flannery’s Pub and The Corner Alley on East Fourth Street to watch March Madness (check out that Sweet Baby Jesus chocolate peanut butter porter from Baltimore’s DuClaw Brewing Co. — um, hello dessert beer!), and I soaked in the Cleveland architecture towering above me and lakeshore views beneath fluffy clouds.
