While the Academy Awards red carpet tends to veer black tie and guests stick to classic silhouettes, the Grammys style is often flooded with artistic statements and plenty of character. Take Wiz Khalifa, for example, who paired an already-unique three-piece with tails (from the Thom Browne Fall 2016 collection) with white Chuck Taylors.

Although personalities definitely shine through in the Grammy outfits, it appears that on my best dressed from last night’s event, color did not. Call me bland, but my favorite looks are all black and white, with the exception of Lianne La Havas. (If you tell me it looks like she’s wearing vintage drapes or a tablecloth, I dare you to rock said fabric as fabulously as her!)

I’m biased, but my favorite couple of the night was Chrissy Teigen, wearing a white floor-length dress with a jewel-embellished cape by Yousef Al-Jasmi, and John Legend in Gucci. Teigen’s dress perfectly complemented her growing baby bump.

Cut outs (Selena Gomez in Calvin Klein, Bella Hadid in Alexandre Vauthier Couture) and high slits (Ciara in Alexandre Vauthier, Carrie Underwood in Nicolas Jebran) were on trend last night, as well as a bit of a disco influence, seen in Kaley Cuoco’s Naeem Khan jumpsuit.

Here are a few Grammy looks I loved. Who topped your list?
