No one really believes you can’t wear white after Labor Day anymore. After all, winter white is the new black (Well, almost.), and white jeans are perfect for fall sweaters and beige ankle booties. But it’s still fun to pretend you’re a rebel and break “style rules” from time to time.
With summer weather still going strong (for the time being), I proudly donned my white jeans, picked out a mint and nautical-striped top and went down to the river.
Settler’s Landing is one of my go-to spots to soak in the sun during summer months, with a long grass-covered hill and a view of the Detroit-Superior Bridge, Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica and countless boats, kayaks and ships passing by. Being near the mouth of the Cuyahoga River helps whip up a pretty good breeze, too.
Labor Day might be the unofficial end of summer, but I have a few more ideas for these white jeans before I hit winter hibernation mode.
