Sugar magnolia, blossoms blooming, head’s all empty and I don’t care.
Saw my baby down by the river, knew she’d have to come up soon for air.
Every spring, I wait excitedly for the magnolia tree to bloom. But this year, just as fast as the small tree in our front yard grew buds and bloomed, a chilly week led to an early scattering of petals. Luckily, I grabbed a series of photos first.
