Hallie Rybka Fall Fitzgerald

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”

F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

It’s so easy to look at fall as a season of ending and decay. Winter lurks in the near future, ready to blast the earth with ice and snow. So I’m grateful for the authors, and F. Scott Fitzgerald is one of my favorites, who recognize the beauty of this season. They can certainly make any time of year sound more majestic than I ever could.

To me, the changing of the autumn leaves signifies new life, no matter how short a period of time the gold and crimson foliage clings to branches. Fall is a time for fresh starts — we don’t need to wait for birthdays, new year’s resolutions or spring cleaning to make a change in our life.
