When I think of chandeliers, the Broadway production “Phantom of the Opera” is never far from mind. Which makes it especially fitting that the largest outdoor chandelier in the world was installed at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square.

Like many Clevelanders, I stayed downtown after work Friday to wait for the lighting. Food and beverage tents were set up outside as people began flooding the intersection at East 14th and Euclid Avenue.

As a drizzle began to dampen my feelings toward the #dazzleCLE event, we headed back to the office to await the lighting ceremony. The weather cleared, but the view from our conference room was spectacular, and I’m glad we had a unique angle to witness the action. Best part? There were fireworks involved!

Check out the beautifully lit chandelier for yourself, and make sure to visit downtown to see the massive ball of crystals.
