“I’ll stop wearing black when they invent a darker color.” — Emmanuelle Alt

I know, I know. It’s fall, I’m surrounded by gorgeous, warm colors and I opt for a black leather vest, black tights and black riding boots.

Somehow, in the last three months, I’ve worn more all-black outfits than any other color combination. Hey, maybe it’s because they’re always on the top on my drawers?

I’ve always loved wearing black pieces. They can be elegant or simple, edgy or chic. I looked for an entire year for a pair of black jeans at a reasonable price (I’m not complaining that me “giving up” on the search was landing a $10 pair from H&M that hasn’t done me wrong yet!).

Black can be paired with pearls and diamonds for an ultra luxe effect. It can be paired with just about any color — and I definitely count leopard print a color. Let’s not forget black also works wonders for grunge. Dare I say it’s the most versatile color?

So while I cherish my favorite season, I will continue to don my blackest ensembles.
