Today, I share a longer quote, because it speaks a truth that many people don’t often understand or even consider. Yes, we often fear inadequacy: on the job (or job hunt), among family and friends…

For young women like myself, this is especially resonate. We often think we are only the next best, constantly comparing ourselves to others, while they may honestly be doing to same to us. But we all shine, in our own way and in many ways. I’ll let Marianne Williamson do the talking.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? We are all meant to shine, as children do. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” -Marianne Williamson
